With it's beautiful beach and a vast array of places to visit, there is plenty to do in and around the beautiful village of Drummore.

The village itself has a Hotel, Brasserie, Cafe & Caravan site, all of which provide meals and drinks. The Bowling Green and Church welcome visitors. There are lots to do for Children,after they have explored the beach,  including the swing park.

 

 

It also boasts Scotland's southernmost Post Office!

 

 A visit to The Mull of Galloway Lighthouse is recommended. It is located at the tip of the Galloway Peninsula, and open to visitors during the summer months.

 Only a few miles southernly from Drummore.

 A visit to the Gaillie Craig Tearoom is also recommended, once you have climbed the 114 steps up to the top of the lighthouse! Their cliff top situation  allows spectacular views  extending to Ireland, Isle of Man, Wales and the Lake District Coast...on a clear day!

  There is also a RSPB Visitor Centre next to the Lighthouse, open from Easter to end of October. All around you is the frenzied activity of a large cliff colony of seabirds, including Puffins, Guillemots, Razorbills and Kittiwaks. 

   

  

 

 

 

 

Logan Gardens 

..Lies at the South Western tip of Scotland and it unrivalled as the country's most exotic Garden! Because of the influence of the Gulf Stream, a remarkable collection of bizarre and beautiful plants from the southern hemisphere flourish there. A Plantsman's paradise!

 

Ardwell Gardens

These Gardens surround an 18th Century Country House (not open to the public).

There is also a great range of home grown plants, fruit and vegetables for sale within the walled garden.

 

Other Activities

There are a few Equestrian Centres nearby also. There are 4 great Golf courses within 20 miles, Portpatrick, Creachmore, Lagganmoree and Wigtownshire County. Day passes are available.

Portpatrick is just along the coast. It hosts the yearly Folk Festival and the RLNI week is very popular, with a breathtaking display from the RNLI helicopter.
